Over the holidays, Anne-Marie and her partner Freek made a trip to Rwanda to celebrate their good friend’s marriage.  While they were there, they had the opportunity to visit Solace Ministries, and reconnect with many of the people who helped make “The Men Who Killed Me” happen, including some of the women featured in the book.  It was wonderful to see our Rwandan friends again.

In 2010, we were so fortunate to be able to visit Rwanda, and learn how many of the people who touched our lives were doing.  Sadly, 2010 was also a year that saw the passing of Françoise Kayitesi and Immaculée Makumi, who we miss dearly.  In 2011, we are hoping to feature a photo exhibition of both women in honour of their memory.

In spite of this loss, 2010 was a year that saw much healing among many of the survivors featured in “The Men Who Killed Me,” and some have embarked on a variety of entrepreneurial pursuits.  We hope 2011 is a year of more exciting growth!

To all of you, we hope that 2011 brings you health, love and laughter ~

Love Anne-Marie, Sandra and Samer.
